Between June 5 and Sept. 1, 2019, we played 67 shows in 64 venues all across North America as part of the Strings Attached tour. Every single show featured a live symphony orchestra – usually around 41 pieces, but sometimes much bigger (like the Nashville Symphony, the National Symphony Orchestra and the Colorado Symphony Orchestra). We also traveled for the first time with backup singers – our old friends Lisa Popeil, Monique Donnelly and Scottie Haskell, who have been featured on many of our studio recordings. The father and son team of Arnie Roth and Eric Roth alternated conducting duties throughout the tour, with arranger Scott O’Neil filling in at our sold-out show at Red Rocks. This was our biggest and most elaborate tour ever, and frankly, I’m not sure how we’d ever top it!
We all had an incredible time, and we sincerely thank every single person who came out to see a show. We’ll be taking a break from touring in 2020, but after that… well, we’ll see!
